Check out these pictures from last year's show!

Guides were on hand to share their fishing secrets, both during the seminars and
in a casual social setting throughout the day.

North River Boats were on hand to show off their beautiful boats.

Pro-staff from tackle companies were on hand to show off their latest inventions
and assist customers in our on-site store, where there were some great deals on
merchandise.

A free breakfast and barbeque lunch were provided.

Attendees had a great time relaxing and telling fishing stories while they ate.

Hundreds of prizes were raffled off and given away, including gift bags full of
lures and great baseball caps, as well as rods, reels, a fish finder,
downrigger, guide trips with the wonderful guides who were on hand to share
their knowledge, Maui Jims and Windjammers sunglasses, and many other wonderful
prizes.

Calaveras Bass anglers hosted a Bassmasters Kids' Casting Derby. Andrew Sabine
won in the 7-10 year-old division, and Matthew Flores won the 11-14 year-old
division.

Around 300 people participated in the On-The-Water Lessons on Sunday.
Customers enjoyed a two-hour lesson on downrigger operation or bass
fishing out on a guide's boat on New Melones Lake. Flights of boat trips were
scheduled to depart every 15 minutes throughout the day. Fortunately, the
weather cooperated!

The kokanee, trout and bass bite were hot, so many fish were caught, even though
that wasn't the main objective!
Thank you to all of our wonderful
vendors and to all of our friends, great fishing guides and Calaveras Bass
Anglers, who help us throw this amazing event every year- we couldn’t do it
without all of you!
If you attended the show, we
would love to hear from you- tell us what you liked, and what you would like to
see next year. Here are a few comments that we have received so far:
Melanie:
Congratulations! What a great seminar you conducted. It was my first
time to take part and I sure enjoyed it. I have always had problems
catching anything at New Melones.
With the information learned on Saturday and fishing with the guide
(Dave) I am sure things will turn around and my luck will change.
Putting on a program for that many people is no small task. Again you
are to be congratulated for a JOB well done, thanks again.
Bob Reinhardt
I sure enjoyed the only day
that I could attend (SAT) I was lucky enough to win a trip with Monty Smith. The
thing that I think makes
this a great seminar is the fact that you don't drag it out and you have TOP
guides with great information. It is a full day, but well worth it.
Great job.
I don't see how you can keep
doing this without a fee. I know you would hate to charge for this, but it would
be will worth it. I was not in my seat at the time but my wife said that
donation was asked for. This might be your answer. Why don't you send your
cleanup grew through with a donation box?
Every
one has there favorite. I think mine was Gary Miralles from Shasta Tackle.
GREAT SEMINAR

Hi Melanie,
Thanks for putting on the
Annual Fishing Seminar and Customer Appreciation
Days.
My dad & I have been attending for the past 4
years and will probably attend every year as long as you put it on. It's a
first class seminar and it seems to get better each year.
My nephew Tim & I spent a fun
2 hours fishing with Val Garringer
on Sunday, but I thought all the guys in
Calaveras Bass Anglers did a great job both days. I thought Dick Pool did a
great job too!
Unfortunately, because I live
so far away from Melones, I only fish there about 8-10 times a year.
Melanie,
Thanks for providing those of us who fish with an enjoyable and
informative opportunity to hear ideas that are new to us, and to be able to ask
questions of the speakers, vendors and guides. The work of your staff and
the volunteers in making this event a success is remarkable and certainly appreciated.
It is the first year that my brother and I have attended. If you have one next year, we will be there.
We have stopped by Glory Hole Sports several times for gas and fishing supplies in the past
and look forward to in the future.
Thanks again for the Seminar and of course the food, which was excellent.
