Submitted by David "Slim" Pickens Twain Harte:
I was in my pontoon float tube, fly-fishing, as I noticed an Osprey flying off with a trout towards Rose Island. Then a few minutes later I saw a second one flying off also with a trout in his talons.   I grumbled to myself for not having the camera ready.  So then I got the camera in hand.  As I came around the point on Rose Island and the Osprey's nest came into view, I heard the Ospreys cry and both of them took to flight.  I then saw what all the commotion was about as
they dive bombed a Juvenile Bald Eagle.

He quickly turned, avoiding  contact and made a bee line out of the area as one of the Osprey  followed him a few hundred yards down the lake. The other Osprey made a fast tract back to the nest, I presume to check if everything
was ok at the nest.
